Who carries out the pest control?
Pest control trained technicians accredited by the National Academy of Specialist Cleaning (NASC). They work alongside our clearance and cleaning crew on the same job, and you deal with HCU UK from the first call to the final clean: one point of contact and one quote.
Why do hoarded or neglected homes get pest problems?
Pests need food, warmth and somewhere undisturbed to nest. Stored belongings, food waste and rooms that are hard to reach give them all three. It is extremely common and it is not a reflection on the person living there.
Can you treat the pests without clearing the property?
Sometimes, but in a heavily cluttered home treatment alone rarely lasts because the pests simply retreat into the belongings. We will be honest after the survey about how much needs to be moved or cleared for the treatment to work, and we always work at a pace the occupant can manage.
Do you clean up after the infestation has been treated?
Yes. Droppings, urine, nests and dead pests are a health hazard in their own right. We remove contaminated material, deep clean and sanitise so the property is safe to live in again.
Do you work with landlords, councils and housing associations?
Yes. We regularly take referrals from landlords, letting agents, local authorities, housing associations and social workers, and can provide before and after documentation for your records.
